I have over 24 years’ experience as a counsellor and therapist and I offer daytime, early morning and evening appointments for short and long term counselling/therapy.
Working in a holistic way, I believe that looking at the ‘wider’ you is important. I will help you to:
- look at the positives in your life (and there must be some otherwise you would not be reading this!)
- enhance your overall well being – physical, emotional, spiritual
- learn to place genuine value on yourself
- let go of the past
- gain control over your life
I am trained to use a variety of approaches to counselling, according to the needs of each individual client:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies will help you to deal with present day anxiety and depression.
Mindfulness-based practice will enable you to live more in the here-and-now, worrying less about the past or the future, creating balance and energy in your life.
Relaxation and breathing techniques will keep you grounded, positive and effective.
Looking at your emotional ties from the past, in a safe and productive way, will enable you to make long lasting changes and break the repetitive patterns of negative behaviour which keep you ‘enslaved’
All of these will lead to a sense of greater personal fulfilment and freedom.
